What color formats does this converter support?
The converter supports HEX, RGB, CMY, HSV, HSB, HSL, HSI, YUV, YIQ, YCbCr and CIE XYZ color values.
What is the difference between HSV and HSB?
HSV and HSB describe the same color model. The terms Value and Brightness refer to the same component, so both formats produce identical values.
What values should I enter?
For RGB and YCbCr, enter values from 0 to 255. For CMY, HSV, HSB, HSL and HSI, enter saturation and other percentage values from 0 to 100. Hue is entered from 0 to 360 degrees. XYZ values use a 0 to 100 scale.
Which standard is used for CIE XYZ conversion?
CIE XYZ conversion uses the standard sRGB color space with the D65 reference white and the CIE 1931 2-degree standard observer.
Why can converted values be slightly different?
Some color models use different ranges, matrices and rounding rules. Small differences may appear when converting a color to another format and then converting it back.
Are my colors uploaded to a server?
No. All color conversions are performed directly in your browser. The values you enter are not sent to a server.
